I just wanted to give an actual update on what is happening with our family.
John is turning 15 and will be getting his permit soon. Can you believe that? I can’t believe I have a child old enough to be behind the wheel of the car. I am so happy and excited to see the young man he is becoming. He is kind and generous and definitely the sweetest out of all my children. Mama’s boy maybe?
Joley is 12 and will be getting braces at the end of this month. She is very excited to do that and I am happy to see her so excited. Her mouth has been a problem for her for some time and it will be nice to see her smile openly. She is still playing soccer and is doing amazing at it. She is mostly a midfielder so she does a lot of running and she loves it.
Jemma is 9 and also a soccer player. She is good at what she does and she is usually a forward. She scores lots of goals and has fun doing it. A couple posts back I shared that the girls will be going to Challenger soccer camp again this summer. They are both pretty excited about that. They always have so much fun doing the camp.
I am still working as a school nurse. I am in my second year at my school and am very happy there. I work part time and it works great with Jemma’s school schedule. I love working with the kids and my coworkers are all nice and friendly. I did sign up to be back next year so that will be good. I am considering working summer school at a local school district but haven’t made up my mind yet. I am not sure what to do!
Mike is still at the same job and doing well. His big thing right now is that he wants a pellet grill. Anyone know anything about those? We are having trouble deciding on one right now. They are so expensive and we don’t want to make a wrong decision.
We are both vaccinated and feeling a bit of relief about that. I got vaccinated with school nurses. He did because of health. It feels good to have those and know that we are a bit more protected now. I still worry about the kids and we are still very careful but I am hopeful things will get back to normal soon.
