I am an RN (which, by the way, is public record if you didn’t know) and am working on finishing my bachelor’s degree and then my master’s degree. I am about a semester ahead of where I should be thanks to all the classes that were transferred in from my first bachelor’s degree (B.A. in 1998) and from my nursing degree from 2003. Because of the transfer credits, I was able to move one class up to this semester. I am presently not sure if that is a good or bad thing!
I complained about my long quiz that was 91 questions. In addition to that, I had to complete a health history and genogram on someone for my assignment that is due on Tuesday. It is funny because those are things that I did every single time I worked with a patient but it was so routine that I didn’t realize how much time it really took. Now I know when other nurses would push off admissions until the next shift to avoid having to stay late! I never did that but I know several that did. You may notice how many people get discharged from hospitals right around shift change. That is not a coincidence!!!
It took me all day to finish the assignment due tomorrow. I should say that I could only do it when my kids were resting or the older ones were being quiet. If you can imagine, that time was pretty limited. I have completed most of the work since they all went to bed. School was called off for my older kids today so my normally-quiet afternoon wasn’t so quiet. I had to manage time a bit better than normal but it all worked out fine because the assignment is sitting in my teacher’s inbox.
School is cancelled tomorrow and I am thinking we are going to have some fun! One plus of getting this assignment done today is that tomorrow I can hang out and relax with the kids more. I think some snow play might be in order!

Ohhh, I was in Nursing once!
Yet, never completed due to the expense of school. Always a regret….Be very proud, I recall the work!

That is wonderful. You should be very proud of yourself.
School is not easy. Best of luck.

Wow, you really are a RN, who would have thought that. I can’t believe you really are a RN. I’m so lucky to be married to a RN. Is that enough mentions that you are a RN ? Love you my sexy RN.
