There is nothing more fun than when my kids start watching or listening to the things I did when I was younger. This has become possible once again with the release of The Wild Thornberrys on DVD and Blu-Ray! The Wild Thornberrys originally aired in 1998 and was on television until 2004. I remember seeing this when I used to work in a children’s center. It was a fun show!
My husband was pretty excited to see this one arrive. His oldest daughter used to watch this show as a youngster. Johnny had no idea who The Wild Thornberrys are but he is always up to watching a new show. He really loved it! He watched all 4 discs within a week and has been re-watching each disc again. The hit series follows the Thornberry family as they travel the world in their Communications Vehicle (or CommVee) looking for rare animals to film. After an encounter with an African shaman, their youngest child Eliza was given the power to speak to animals! Every episode in this adventure-packed DVD set follows Eliza as she comes face-to-face with an assortment of animals, continents and danger. Encounter wildlife in all its natural glory and eavesdrop on Eliza’s conversations with silverback gorillas, pythons, crested grebes, tapirs, capybaras, antelopes and opossums while the CommVee travels on!
I love that Shout! Factory has been given rights to distribute DVD and Blu-ray releases of some of Nick’s classic animated programs. We can’t wait to see what is next!
The Wild Thornberrys is out in stores today as a 4-DVD box set priced to own at a suggested retail price of $29.93. I am sure both you and your children will enjoy this great set!
