Thursday was Joley’s birthday. We had my parents, my sister and my nieces and nephew over for cake. I made cake pops and cake balls thanks to Bakerella. Oh my gosh people, they are fantastic!!! I will definitely be making cake balls again. I made Joley’s cake… it took me a few tries to get it the way I wanted. She thought it was fun digging into it so it was worth all the time.
She opened her presents… received her first baby doll from us (a newborn Cabbage Patch), some books, Leapfrog’s My Pal Violet, some cute clothes from my parents and my sister, an adorable little Fur Real Friends Bear*, and a praying doll. It was fun and Joley had a good time. My parents also bought her a new big girl car seat that we desperately needed. I love this seat (and so does Joley!)
*Her nickname is Bear so the bear animal was super cute for her. You will also notice a bear on her cake.
My baby girl on the morning of her big day…
A bad picture of her cake because of the flash (sorry) but you can see what it looks like in general…
Joley showing us that she is “sooo big” in her new car seat…
Checking out her cake…
taking a little taste…
and digging in!
