Yesterday was transition day for Tayler. Basically, she went to her first day of high school but it was just Freshman there and they really didn’t have classes or anything. They did walk their schedule and have lunch but their lunch wasn’t at the normal time or anything. Today is the first day with the upperclassmen there but it is only a half day so she won’t eat lunch. Tomorrow is the REAL first day with all the students and a full day. She is doing okay though. We talked a lot about what to expect, what to not expect and how to handle herself before that first day. She is not so psyched up that she can’t sleep but is optimistic and excited. I am happy for her to be meeting some new kids and building new relationships.
She came home yesterday and said she was interested in the Pom squad. Now, I encourage my kids to do things… but I don’t think this is the best route for her. She has never been in a dance class (well since she was 7 anyways) and really is really quite clumsy. I told her to do what she wants but if she makes it, she is getting a job. Mama and Daddy can’t afford that activity! I just want her to be happy so whatever that entails, I will stand behind her.
Not much else going on. I am 22 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Time has just been flying!
I wanted to say congrats to Jen on her healthy baby boy! I am so happy for you.
