This past weekend was full of busy for me. It all started on Friday when we went to the store to pick out paint for Joley and the baby’s room. I chose a color that is a light teal that I think will be good for either a boy or girl. It is called Sea Breath. On Saturday night, I painted the closet and headed to bed. On Saturday, I woke up and started painting. Two coats later, the walls were finished and I was in love with the new color. It is so pretty! The mister cleaned the carpets in the room so we would be ready to move kids on Monday. Kenzie was going into Joley’s room and Joley was going into Kenzie’s room as it is larger (to hold two cribs) and Kenzie could then keep a room to herself.
On Sunday, we moved kids all around. It took all day to get them where they needed to be. I still have some work to do in Joley and the baby’s room. Once we know for sure what the baby is (boy or girl), I have to pick out a border for the room. The one I have picked out now is very girly with little ballerina dresses. I LOVE the way it looks with the paint color. We’ll see next Friday if we can use it or not.
Joley is doing well in her room and Kenzie seems happy to have hers. I bought her a new bed at a garage sale (a daybed) and a new bedding set too. I need to put a border up in her room too but that is just another thing on the list at this point. I will be happy when all of this is finished though so I can sit back and relax a bit. I started early with my pregnancy because I painted a smaller room later in pregnancy with Johnny and it was awful. The mister had to help a lot. This time, I did it all by myself. Admittedly, I am super sore, but it is worth it to see the smile on my little girl’s face and to know the baby will have a place to land when it finally comes.
That was my Memorial Day weekend. What did you do?

Sounds like you worked really hard. It’s all so exciting!
Can’t wait to find out if your little one is a boy or girl.
