There isn’t a night that goes by that I don’t see a fire on the news. The devastation is horrible and often times, the injuries and death are avoidable by having a working smoke alarm in the home. This initiative by Energizer is such a fantastic one that I hope you all head over their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/EnergizerBunny) and join the Energizer Bunny Brigade!
Throughout October, Energizer has been inviting parents across the country to join the Energizer Bunny® Brigade on Facebook (www.facebook.com/energizerbunny) for a chance to win free smoke alarms and batteries for their home or a grand prize of a home fire safety makeover. It’s a fun way to get people thinking about an important topic – home fire safety – and sharing positivity within their communities.
The message is simple, and the habit can be lifesaving. Thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes without working smoke alarms, while 24 percent occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate.*
Energizer wants you all to be protected this year and always (and so do I) so please remember to change your batteries on your smoke alarms each time you change your clocks forward and backward. My house actually has the smoke alarms wired into our house so we don’t have to worry about doing so but I know many, many homes do not have this and need the reminder.
Energizer has kindly offered TWO winners to receive a smoke alarm equipped with Energizer batteries! I am very excited to give these away and hope that you all enter… if not for you then for a friend, relative, or anyone else that can use it. Let’s all work together to save lives!
How to enter: The mandatory entry must be completed in order for all others to count. All entries must be recorded into the Rafflecopter widget.
