Labor Day is quickly approaching. I know many people BBQ and have parties over Labor Day weekend and you may be searching for a side dish that is appropriate for a BBQ, easy to make, and easy to take along with you. NAKANO offers many options with their great line of rice vinegar. I already shared with you the most delicious grilled veggies I made with NAKANO rice vinegar and a pasta and chicken dish so today I will share something new.
This recipe is from the great collection of recipes you can find on the Mizkan Recipe Search.
Garden Fresh Pasta Salad
8 oz. uncooked rotelle (large corkscrew pasta)
1/3 cup NAKANO Seasoned Rice Vinegar Original
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. each salt and dried dill weed or basil
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots and/or zucchini
1 cup broccoli florets
2 medium tomatoes, cut in wedges
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
DIRECTIONS
I like using NAKANO rice vinegar in place of other condiments that are loaded in calories and fat. The NAKANO rice vinegar adds a delicious tang with far fewer calories. Those are great qualities in my mind and I am using the rice vinegar often in my meal preparation.
I encourage you to try NAKANO rice vinegar this upcoming weekend when making that special dish for your family or to take with you to a party. You won’t be disappointed!
Disclosure: I have worked with Mizkan in the past and have received samples to try. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
