This is my Gabby girl. She is a rescue we bought years ago when we were living in a rental home. She is a good cat and is my snuggle buddy most days. Gabby hasn’t been feeling well lately though. She has been peeing in random places (mostly the bathtub and sink) and has had some blood in her urine too. We tried by having her drink more water and trying to give her some special food but it didn’t help. After she peed in Joley’s car seat. At that point, I knew we were going to have to take her to the vet.
I felt awful because she hasn’t been out of the house in years. The last time was in 2004 when we moved into this house. I knew she was going to be quite upset about it but I knew she had to go. Mike brought her in today.
My poor baby has FUS (Feline Urinary Syndrome). She is on an antibiotic and prescription food now. The visit cost $65 (because we refused a few tests) and the food cost $60… they were both unexpected expenses and hard to handle right around Christmas, but she is worth it. I am hopeful this will be what she needs to get better!
I forgot to mention this… my cat when I was younger had the same illness and was on the same prescription food! Strange, huh?
