A Must-Have Christmas Toy: Lite Sprites Review and Giveaway

Sometimes you come across a product that you just look at and think “wow, that is so cool”.  Recently, we had that experience and it is one that repeats itself very often.  We were introduced to Lite Sprites, made by award-winning manufacturer of toys, WowWee.

What are Lite Sprites, you may wonder.  Well, let me tell you because I think these are going to be a HUGE hit this holiday season.  First, Lite Sprites are based on the story of 5 magical Sprites who bring color to their world of Lite-Topia using all-powerful Lite Wands.  The new product line allows girls to magically capture color and light from any flat surface and cast color spells while emitting enchanting sounds.  These are recommended for girls over 4 years old but Joley, my near 3 year old daughter, does really well with them.

It really is that simple too.  You grab the wand, hold it over any solid surface that is colored and the wand will pick up that color.  Then, you point the wand at the Lite Sprite, hold down the diamond button and she will take on that color.  When we first saw these, my husband and I were amazed.  They are SO neat.  My kids thought it was magic and I have to say that it really appears to work like magic.

I LOVE these.  I think they are so fun and I plan on buying more Lite Sprites for my kids.  I know they say these are for girls and I agree that girls are the most likely to want these but Johnny really has had fun with the Lite Sprites too.  There are a couple recommended games included with the Lite Wand.  Our favorite is the Hide and Seek game in which one person chooses a color and makes the Lite Sprite take on that color.  The other person (or people) in the room has to try to find where that color came from… it could be a magazine, book, movie case, etc.  Johnny, Joley and I have had a blast playing that game.  I am going to get some video of my kids playing with the Lite Sprites for you.  I wanted to get this post up now though so you can see these great toys!

Girls of all ages will enjoy these fantastic new toys.  There are 5 different Lite Sprites to choose from and each has a special power.   Prisma is the leader; Astra, the keeper of the skies; Brooke, who takes care of the water; Meadow, who is responsible for the plants, flowers and trees; and Bleak, the rebel Sprite who uses her powers to disrupt color in Lite-Topia.

The Lite Wand has 10 colors built into it and you can add up to 40 to it.  Prisma comes with 10 colors to add as well.  Each Lite Sprite comes with her own Forest Pod to move around in.

In addition to the Lite Sprites (with their wands and forest pods), you will be able to purchase play sets (Waterfall, Windmill, Flower and Swing) so your girls will have hours of fun playing.

Prices vary depending on what you purchase. For Prisma, Light Wand, and Forest Pod, the suggested retail price is $29.99. For a Lite Sprite and Forest Pod, the suggested retail price is $14.99. For a Lite Sprites Deluxe Playset, you can expect to pay $19.99. For the Lite Sprites Tree of Life (as seen in the video above), the suggested retail price is $39.99. The Lite Sprites also have their own special friends that come 4 in a set called Lite Pets. They retail for $6.99.
