It is so great when companies embrace the spirit of the holidays. But, what is even better when they embrace that spirit and allow others to do the same. Cheerios has made this possible with their Cheer postcards. This is a very simple idea that is so wonderful and heartwarming that I need to share it with you and I hope you all rush out to grab a box of Cheerios to do this yourself.
All throughout October and November, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal have featured Cheer postcards on the front of the box. All you do is simply cut out the postcard from the Cheerios logo, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.
Like I said, heartwarming. Being able to life the spirits of a military family is just wonderful. Adding your own message makes this so personal and shows you really care. Now, it is the last day of November so I need you all to go out and buy a specially-marked box now to get in on this fantastic campaign. Still not convinced? What if I told you that for each postcard received through November 2012, Cheerios will make a $1 donation to the USO to help fund programs that support military families? Nice, right?
Cheerios has already donated $150,000 to the USO and will donate up to an additional $100,000 based upon the number of postcards received from specially marked boxes now through November 30th, 2012. Don’t you want to be part of this fun and special project? I thought so! Be on the lookout today for these boxes to get involved!
I have a super fun (but quick) giveaway for you today! One winner will win:
- 1 Cheerios cereal bowl
- 1 Cheerios cereal spoon
- 1 cereal dispenser
- 1 “Cheer” box of Cheerios
How to enter: The mandatory entry must be completed in order for all others to count. All entries must be recorded into the Rafflecopter widget.
