I have been wondering what is going on with Google Page Rank for some time. It seems iffy at best and has been a source of frustration for me for some time. In addition, it bothers me that PR folks regard Google PR to be so important. What is not taken into account is the amount of traffic blogs have and the fact that Google PR is NOT updated regularly. I am so happy to know there is a new option for bloggers and PR folks to use.
Thanks to Simply Stacie, I now know of a new page rank system that is updated regularly. Google and mozRank both measure a website’s popularity and authority online. Just like Google Page Rank, mozRank measures on a scale of 1 to 10. mozRank is run by SEOmoz. You can find what your mozRank is by looking at the following site:
Website Grader: This site gives ToBeThode a mozRank of 5.
Open Site Explorer: This site gives ToBeThode a mozRank of 4.67.
I would like to encourage you all to learn more about mozRank and educate PR and other bloggers about what has happened with Google Page Rank. There is no sense in grading our blogs by a source that does not update!

Seriously, I’ve been saying for a WHILE now that Google PR is moot. Completely pointless. Hurray!

I know Erin! I just wish PR folks would get the memo. 🙂

I actually stopped including page rank in my stats. Only GFC, Twitter, and FB follower counts with uniques. I’ve yet to have a rep inquire further. That info and current content really should speak for itself.

I agree! But, I recently lost an advertiser because my page rank wasn’t high enough. No concern at all for the other information.
