I have a secret that will change the way we eat vegetables forever. It is one that I am very willing to share because I know how much you will love it too. Are you ready for this super duper special secret? (whispers) Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar!
I know, it isn’t some crazy ingredient or technique. But, it is one ingredient worth getting to know. Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar can be added to salads and veggies or even pasta salad for a special flavor. Not only that, but this is a low-calorie alternative to heavy dressings and sauces.
Last weekend we decided to grill outside. Grilling vegetables is something that we always love but I decided to take the advice of Nakano and try the Seasoned Rice Vinegar instead of my typical method of preparation for the veggies. I reached into my cupboard and found the Roasted Garlic variety and knew it would be good.
The concept is so simple. I used green bell peppers, a sweet onion, zucchini, and eggplant in my mixture but you can use whatever suits your fancy. I cut all the veggies up into bite size pieces and added to a baking dish (we use disposable for the grill). Next, I added some of the Nakano Roasted Garlic Seasoned Rice Vinegar and made sure all the veggies were coated. After covering with aluminum foil, the pan made its way to the grill next to the meat and hung out.
The results? Amazing. I am not kidding. These are the very best veggies we have ever grilled. I will likely never make grilled veggies any other way. Each bite was as delicious as the last. I am 100% sold on using the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar for veggies and can’t wait to try it out on salads and pasta salad too. This will definitely be a staple in our summer recipes.
Have you given the Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegars a try yet? What have you made with them?
