As a busy mom, one thing I do not have are enough hands. I never can seem to keep everyone happy all the time. This has only gotten worse since Jemma was born. It seems that she needs me every time I step away to do anything with the other kids or in the house. Besides that, I hate carrying her heavy car seat around and there are times that it isn’t even possible. I have been babywearing for some time now; since Joley was a baby but I never found a carrier that met my needs (and comfort level). But, I never gave up hope that there was a carrier that would do all I wanted without breaking my back.
You may notice in the picture below that I am wearing Jemma.
That is a Boba Carrier in the “Tweet” design. I love this design especially. It is so cute and bright. The Boba Carrier is absolutely amazing! It has pockets on the front that have worked great to carry my phone when I didn’t want to bring my purse. If I did want to carry my purse though, there is a small snap on the shoulder that secures my purse strap in place (no more bending over when it slips off your shoulder). It has a snap in the front near the top pocket that allows you to adjust how snug it is for a newborn head. It also has a hood that makes it great for those times when it is cold, baby is sleeping, or you just want to keep them out of everyone’s eyesight.
The Boba Carrier is a buckle closure. You have one that adjusts at the waist. I am plus-size and have no issues with this carrier fitting me. The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. There is a chest clip (the Boba can be used for forward and back carrying) that I clasp at my shoulder level in back. For Jemma, a newborn, I put the entire carrier on and slip her inside. But, I do not foresee any difficulty with this carrier as she grows. It is very easy to put on, adjust, wear, and take off!
You know that I always try to give you a true and fair review… including both likes and dislikes. I have found no dislikes with the Boba Carrier. It is the most comfortable, nicest looking, and most innovating carrier I have seen and tried. I have worn it for hours at a time with no back pain. This has never happened for me before as I have back issues. The Boba Carrier is so good that I have had no pain at all carrying Jemma. I have even put Joley in it (totally acceptable with her size, it even has foot holds for toddlers!) and no pain. It is perfect for me!
Jemma loves the carrier too. In fact, she goes to sleep the second I put her in it. I have considered just putting her in it during the day so I can get some work done. Right now, for instance, as she sits on my knee fussing, would be a good time to put the Boba carrier on and let her hang out with mommy while mommy gets some blog posts written!
You can purchase the Boba Carrier for $125. I think that it is worth every single penny! Be sure to consider this carrier for yourself or as a gift for new (or experienced) baby wearer!
