Potty Tots Potty Training Kit

I have been keeping a secret from you guys.  Are you mad?  Well, this is a big one and I even hesitate to post about it now because I am a superstitious kind of girl.  But, since I want to share this great product, I will share.

Potty Tots are characters developed to help your child learn to potty train.  Online we were able to listen to music and play games.  Johnny picked his favorite Potty Tot.  He had a lot of fun.  Then, when the Potty Training Kit arrived, in Johnny’s name, he was so excited!  The same Potty Tots he was playing with online sent him a package!  The letter inside was addressed to Johnny and he thought he was getting a surprise from the Potty Tots themselves!

We read the book included and watched the DVD that came.  Johnny learned the Potty Tots song and was able to sing it to me.  I slowly started talking to him more and more about potty training.  Eventually, he stopped being so negative about the whole experience.  We looked at the potty chart and “Toilet Bowl” progress game.  Johnny started to get more and more interested.

One day, I decided enough was enough… it was time to start!  He went into the bathroom and went potty.  I could have cried tears of joy.  Seriously.  He is now doing really well with his potty training but we are still having some problems with the “other function”.  I know this will happen in time though.  He started his potty training on February 23rd.    He has not had a wet pull-up since the day after he started.

Do I think that Potty Tots are the reason?  I don’t know.  What I do know is that they didn’t hurt anything and they opened up the door for me to talk to him about potty training in a new way.  He was excited about the kit coming and what was inside.  That was all we needed to start the process!  Would I recommend Potty Tots to anyone going through potty training?  Absolutely!
