This week has been one long one! Between going to the doctor and dealing with emotions, it feels like it has been way more than 7 days to me since the last weekend! Regardless, it is Friday and I am so happy about that!
Tomorrow we are headed to do something really fun and anyone local to me is welcome to join us! We are going to the Purina ProPlan Incredible Dog Challenge at Purina Farms. As you know, we are dog lovers around this house and seeing dogs do amazing skills seems like a great time to me. Athletic dogs from around the country will compete in the Purina® Pro Plan® Incredible Dog Challenge® National Finals. This premier canine sporting event features dogs competing in a variety of “Olympic-style” events, including high-flying disc routines, head-to-head weave pole racing, large and small dog agility courses, Jack Russell hurdle racing and the crowd favorite – dog diving – where dogs take a running leap off of a 40-foot dock into a 19,000-gallon pool of water.
All of the fast-paced, family-friendly canine action kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 5 and like I said, the event is free and open to the public. Be sure to come out and see all these amazing animals do what they love to do. Here is a timeline in case you want to see a particular event:
Saturday, October 5
11:15 AM Agility Forerunners
11:25 AM National Anthem
11:30 AM Incredible Agility Competition
12:30 PM Incredible Diving Dog Competition
1:15 PM Incredible Jack Russell Hurdle Racing Competition
2:00 PM Incredible Fetch-It! Demonstration
2:45 PM Incredible 30-Weave-Up-and-Back Competition
3:30 PM Incredible Freestyle Flying Disc Competition
If you get there and see me, say hello! Purina is sponsoring my visit so I will be around all over. Purina Farms is located at 200 Checkerboard Drive in Gray Summit.
In addition to going to this fun event, we don’t have much else planned. I am going to make it to yoga tomorrow morning and then church at some point. Other than that, I think it will be a laid-back weekend. My pain level is too high to do too much.
What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun planned?
