(This is me from Easter. I don’t have my pic taken often but thought I would share!)
When did you start blogging?
I started blogging in 2008… I have no idea anymore what month but I think it was in February. I had one child already and was trying to get pregnant with my second.
Why did you start blogging?
I was blogging at that time about a lot of things with only like two followers (if that!). Like I said, I was trying to conceive my baby and it had already been a long time. My blog posts were short and often just venting. I had no comments and it was just a way for me to vent. I talked about my stepkids, my own son, my husband, my frustrations, my happiness, and everything in between. So much has changed over the years and my blog is nothing at all like it was 2 years ago.
What is one thing you are going to do this week that is WAY cooler than going to BlogHer?
Why, hanging out with all of you, of course! Besides that, I am excited to be able to hand out some great swag to some of you. Amazingly, this week is not filled with a million things that need to be done and that is so refreshing. After finishing out the semester last week, my life has settled down a ton. Whew!
Share a post that you think says a lot about you or is your favorite. (share the link in YOUR post so we all can see)
I seriously considered posting my birth story for Joley here because that experience changed my life forever. No longer am I content with nursing. I am now pursuing so much more. But, my birth story is not so nice so I will give these…
This post says a lot about me as a mother as my breastfeeding journey ended
But hey, feel free to click on whatever you want. I am not picky! 🙂
Don’t forget to link up your own posts on the linky! Click HERE.

Thanks for hosting this Blog Hop! I haven’t participated in one for ages so I think this is going to be so much fun.
My first blog was written in Swedish and I had it for about 4 years. I guess it’s been deleted by now, unfortunately. The blog I have right now is just a few months old and it’s still quite annonimous with hardly any visitors at all. Maybe this hop will change things a bit?
Anyway, great to get to know you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, I chose your first post and I’m glad I did. Sitsgal and bloghopper, letting you know that I had to go through that too. It was hard, and you are making me all teary eyed remembering it. I used to nurse her constantly, and yes I had that nipple shield for a long time. I didn’t want that, but I didn’t get any help. My lack of knowing things are actually took care of that. (I confess, I have a misplaced mind at times.) Once I lost that shield in the frenzy of my house, it came down to how hungry she was. After that, I found it, but I simply let her start with the shield then when the milk came down, I took it away.
I miss breastfeeding her. She’s a two year old independent machine who also called it quits at 16 months. Must be the special number.

I love putting a face to a name!! Such a sweet picture and I enjoyed your posts. When my son was born, I breastfed and decided to start bottle feeding once a day so that my husband could participate and let me sleep that 1 extra hour. That turned into a nightmare and after 2 weeks I started trying to get him to feed again. I tried a natural medicine to make my milk come back and also tried a “tie around your neck tube” thing that didn’t work. I sooo wish I hadn’t started the 1 bottle a night thing. I’ll know better next time. I am now following you and look forward to more fun reading!!
Thanks,
Jenni Eaves

Stopping by from the Blog Hop. A friend told me about it, and I’m really glad you’re doing this! I’m also excited to hear about how much a blog can evolve in two short years. Did you consciously start making changes, or did they just kind of “happen”?
Jen says
that’s a great pic! I don’t get many taken of me either though. I’m so excited about this week, thanks for letting me join.

I love that pic of the two of you, and I’m having fun co-hosting this blog hop with you! GREAT idea! Off to read your breastfeeding post 🙂
Nicole says
Haha, I think most blogs had their origin in venting. Mine did too!
I LOVED your midwife post. You are going to be so amazing, I just know it. I had no idea you were a nurse (how did I miss that?!)! I’m doing prerequisites for nursing school right now. I still have a long way to go, but I’ve thought about going the CNM route. I’m a little more attracted to the NNP route, but like I said, I still have forever so we’ll see!
Good luck with all your training and schooling – I will be checking back often to see how it’s going for you!!!
Stefany says
Thank you Nicole! Good luck to you as well.
I had seriously thought about the NP route. I was all set to apply this Spring. It is crazy how life can throw things in your path to set you straight and that certainly happened to me with the Midwifery. I am so happy to know that I am going to do something I truly will be happy doing.

I am following you back Beth. I will be by to see your questions too. 🙂 And, you are welcome. I am glad to do this for everyone.

That is such a sweet pic. 🙂 We started blogging right about the same time and like you my blog is SO different now than when I first started.

Funny how that worked, huh? I am embarrassed even by how my posts were at the beginning. LOL
