Break Pal is a new concept in exercising that I think is both wonderful and entertaining! I was given a membership to Break Pal in order to review and let me tell you, I am glad I did.
Break Pal is a way for you (yes you!) to workout every day from your desk, kitchen chair, couch, or wherever you are right now reading this! This is how it works:
You log in and there are exercises to choose from. Each exercise you do gives you points (I am way behind the leader and am determined to catch up!). You can choose from categories such as “Cardio Kung Fu” or “Standing Exercises”. There are seven exercise routines to choose from with different exercises in each. You can do micro workouts while you are waiting on hold on the phone or during a conference call even! It is recommended that you workout for at least 30 minutes a day so why not do some office exercises?
There are sitting and standing exercises and you can customize your workout to what you want by picking individual exercises to do. If you are anything like me, you sit a lot during the day… and if you are a blogger, I know that is true! Desk exercises are the perfect solution to not working out because of being tied down to a desk. My goal is to lose weight and gain muscle and with Break Pal, I really feel that is a possibility. I don’t have to leave my house. I don’t even have to leave my beloved laptop. I can exercise anytime I am on the computer!
Break Pal also works as a social network. You can interact with other users and set your status (similar to what other Social Networks use) to let everyone know how you are doing. You can friend each other and build networks right within Break Pal. I noticed some familiar names when I signed in the very first time so I am looking forward to getting in shape with some online friends! You can even log into Twitter from Break Pal and tweet while you workout.
You can also download the Break Pal widget. “The Widget will notify you that it’s time to exercise according to the preferences you’ve set. The default is 30 minutes. When the Widget tells you it’s time to exercise just click on one of the links to bring you to a lesson page. Do your exercise and the you can close out the browser when your done.” How convenient is that? No more using the excuse that you forgot.
Break Pal only costs $9.95 per month; significantly less than joining a gym and much more convenient! Plus, with new exercises being added all the time, you will always have something new to learn. Break Pal has kindly offered to give one of my readers a Lifetime Premium Membership to Break Pal!!!
