Tonight, I went somewhere I haven’t been in many years. I think the last time I was at there was when I was in high school or possibly shortly after I graduated. It was a strange experience and one I am going to do again.
I took my kids to the dollar show! We went to an old theater here. There were probably no more than 60 seats in the theater we were in. We saw a movie that is out on (or will be soon) video. It was a fun time though and very much affordable.
Kenzie, Johnny and I went with my best friend and her two kids (who happen to be best friends with my two kids). We had the intent to see Marmaduke but it was sold out before we even got there… and we were 45 minutes early! We lucked out though because another kids’ show was showing and we were able to get tickets for that. We saw How To Train Your Dragon and everyone was happy.
I will be taking my kids to the dollar show again. I remember going to the dollar show as a teen and it was always a great thing to do because of the low cost. Even with buying popcorn and sodas, we still spent less than we would have at a regular show. Even those these are older movies and we could rent some instead of seeing them in the theater, it is sometimes fun to go out and do things. When we can do that inexpensively, I am all game!
Do you have a dollar theater where you live?

We have the equivalent to the $ show but it is now $4.00 is is still incredibly cheaper than the $10.00 of the regular theater. The price even includes one drink and one treat. Ah!

We used to have a Dollar Theater when I was a teen. Now there is a cheap theater but it is the one in our local mall. I think its 2 or 3 bucks though to get in, still cheap.
