I am so glad that it is almost Friday! It has been such a busy week in our household and it is only going to get more chaotic as the month progresses.
I started off my week with the Christian day camp I spoke about. It was a blast and I am so glad that I did it. I was able to spend some time with a few kiddos that (very obviously) were in need of some attention. Besides just being there for them, I was also the nurse of bee stings, scraped knees, a finning instance (she got finned by a fishy), and a girl who had a headache. I wasn’t just a nurse that day though. I also was an errand runner, a food server, a stand-in counselor, and a game maker. Kenzie had a good time participating in the camp and Tayler was a helper. It was hot but we all had a good time. I was also happy to see my future-boss when she picked up her kids. I let her know that I am doing all I can to get ready to work for her. I can’t wait!
Johnny and Kenzie also started their second Vacation Bible School of the summer this week. Johnny has been so good about going and even went one day by himself when Kenzie was elsewhere. They are having a great time and they both are liking their new shirts. I enjoy that they are learning about Jesus in a fun way. They are singing, dancing, having snacks, and making crafts. The theme is Saddle Ridge Ranch and it is very cute. Johnny is very proud of his horse.
I mentioned that Kenzie wasn’t at VBS one day. That is because she started a theater class at our local community college on Tuesday. She is learning about the stage and other things about acting. She said it was fun and is excited about going next week. I am so glad that she enjoys this because I have been trying to find something that will interest Kenzie. She isn’t into sports and is a bit reserved. I thought that theater would be fun for her and she agrees.
We will end our week with the last day of VBS and the start of our parish picnic. We will be headed up to the parish picnic after VBS is over and having some fun up there. I bought Kenzie a ride bracelet so she can ride as many as she wants this weekend. I also bought some tickets that the kids (and Mike) can play games. We should have a fun weekend there! On Saturday night, I will be volunteering in the First Aid booth at the picnic. I am hoping for a safe weekend for all involved.
That is about what we will be up to this weekend. What are your plans?

He’s so adorable. I want to pinch his cheeks. Lol. I bet he hates that. 🙂 Your weekend will be much more production than mine. I have so much to do next week that I’m sitting on my butt this weekend.
