This is not a joke… there hasn’t been a single day in probably 5 years that I haven’t had a bottle of Infants’ and/or Children’s TYLENOL in my home. It could potentially be every longer than that although I can’t say for sure. Why? TYLENOL is a product that is recommended by my pediatrician and one that I feel is safe to give to my kids. From bumps and ouchies to teeth pain, Tylenol has been a go-to medicine for years in the Thode home.
Lately, TYLENOL has made some safety and convenience enhancements of both the Infants’ and Children’s products that I have been asked to tell you about. These new changes and improvements are very good in my opinion and ones that I am glad McNeil (makers of TYLENOL) have made.
One of my favorite changes are in the bottle of Infants’ TYLENOL.
The Infants’ TYLENOL will include SIMPLEMEASURE®, a new, enhanced bottle with a protective opening and push-in syringe designed to:
- Provide even more accurate dosing and easier administration to infants
- Allow for better control when dispensing with fewer spills
- Further reduce the risk of children getting to the medicine in the bottle
The Children’s TYLENOL will also have a new protective opening with dosage cup.
Another improvement is the dosage. “Infants’ TYLENOL will now have the same concentration of the active ingredient, acetaminophen, as Children’s TYLENOL, which will standardize dosing across the products and age groups.” You will still receive the dosage device appropriate for the product and age you are buying for. Be sure to look at the dosage on any bottles you buy after the new product is available (as early as this upcoming cold and flu season). You may have the old dosage bottles in your cabinet still!!!
