Moon Dough Ocean PalsI love creative play with my kids.  It is so good for fine motor skills and anything that encourages the use of their imaginations, is a winner in my book.  We had never played with Moon Dough until recently but I have to say, it is really fun!

I wasn’t sure what to expect but Moon Dough was a bit different than my initial thoughts. It is more of a soft or crumbly texture than anything we are used to. The new improved formula makes it less crumbly with no mess. It never dries out (awesome!) so we can use it over and over. I still found it to be a bit crumbly but it was completely workable.

I love that it is odor-free. We received a new Push N’ Pop play set. There are a number of different Moon Dough sets to choose from including: Moon Dough Push N’ Pop Ocean Pals (the one we received), Moon Dough Push N’ Pop Breakfast, and Moon Dough Snack Shop. We absolutely loved the Push N’ Pop set we received. The kids thought it was so fun to make different shapes so easily.

With the Ocean Pals set, we received 3 Push N’ Pop Tools, Twisty Animals Molds, 2 colors of Moon Dough, and one Themed Mat. I didn’t think much of the mat and felt it better to just let the kids use the Moon Dough on their place mats on the table.

I really enjoy this product. Recommended for children over 3 years old, we found that Joley, who is turning 3 in December, did very well with it. Johnny loved it too. The Moon Dough Push N’ Pop Ocean Pals set sells for a suggested retail prices of $9.99, which I think is a great deal! You can find Moon Dough at Toys “R” Us, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Amazon.com, A.C. Moore, Michaels, and eToys. I highly recommend you give the new formula a try and let me know what you think!

Disclosure: We were given the product mentioned for the purpose of review through Team Mom. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
