I have mentioned on this blog before that my two youngest children have hypoglycemia. What that means for us as a family is that we need to watch what they eat and we need to always be prepared for a low sugar level. One way to do that is to carry protein sources with us wherever we go. Nutrition bars are a great and easy way to do that. The problem with nutrition bars is that sometimes they taste not-so-good, at least to a child.
We were sent some PureFit Nutrition Bars to review. I took the first one we had to Johnny’s baseball game, being prepared for what inevitably happened. His blood sugar dropped and he needed a boost. I reached for the PureFit bar, hopes high that he would accept it and actually enjoy it. We tried the Granola Crunch the first time and I was so pleased with the reaction from my kids. Both Johnny and Joley loved it! They shared a bar and, thanks to the protein in the bar, Johnny bounced back and was able to complete the game with his friends.
PureFit Nutrition Bars are kosher and vegan-approved plus wheat- and gluten-free. There are five flavors available; Granola Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch, Berry Almond Crunch, Chocolate Brownie, and Almond Crunch. Out of all of those flavors, both me and my kids enjoyed the Peanut Butter Crunch the best but I can honestly say that they were all very good. They have great flavor. I also liked that the PureFit Nutrtion Bars did not melt in their packaging despite warm temperatures outside and in my purse. To make them even better, they are made with 100% all natural ingredients. You can find out full nutritional information on the website.
To purchase PureFit Nutritional Bars, you can find them online or in stores. Be sure to visit PureFit on Twitter and Facebook as well. Be sure to tell them you were sent by me if you fan them!
Disclosure: We were sent samples of PureFit Nutritional Bars for the purpose of reviews. No other compensation was provided and all opinions are my own.
