Seeing my baby girl outside and playing is so amazing. Last year she was too young and never had a chance to get on the ground and explore. She was held or sitting in the wagon for the entire spring season so her outside experiences were very limited. But, this year is different. She is all over the place exploring her world. I can’t even imagine how exciting it must be for a little baby to see so much.
Can you imagine what it must be like to feel grass for the first time?
Or what about having no fear? Joley was so interested in the street, as many kids are. She went toward that street so many times and couldn’t understand why Mommy and Daddy stopped her.
Think about how different your life would be if you weren’t afraid of the dangers around the corners for both ourselves and our kids?
Wouldn’t it be great to just be happy with everything? No worries, no concerns, each day bringing something brand new and exciting.

What a little cutie! My son is also in exploring mode- and has been for several months. He loves to “smell” flowers, and blows on dandelions nearly every day on our walks.
Looks like I’ll be buying weed killer for some of our neighbors this Christmas. 🙂

She is adorable! 🙂 Jake (my toddler) keeps running towards the street too but kind of understands when I yell stop that’s as far as he can go. My youngest (9 months) is crawling around and getting into everything now and enjoys crawling in the grass 🙂

This is the same thing we are going through with Callie. And since I’ve been home for the past month, I often get lost in thought wondering the same thing.
I only wish there were no fears. Can you imagine what this world would be like?!

according to my baby doll, it’s like cactus needles coated in acid.
at least, that’s the gist I got from her reaction.

Yes, it would be awesome to not have any fears. We actually put these fears into our children over time. I remember when my son was little and I tried to get him to wear boxer shots to bed in the summer when it was hot. He had to wear PJ’s in case there was a fire! How wonderful that she can explore now. She is so cute!

It’s really amazing isn’t it? My little Emma is the same way, except she’s been doing a little too much discovering today. We caught her trying to eat a Dandelion. lol
