Joley did better with the cereal today. She actually consumed a larger amount as was oh so happy this time. I have no recollection of how long to do things or when to move on to other types and foods so I will be giving the pedi a call next week. In the meantime, I am in no rush to do anything else. She gets a few tablespoons once a day and I let her eat as much of that as she wants (which is not all of it). I plan on making some baby food this time around to try to save some money so I need to do some researching on that. I used to have a website but can’t remember it. Anyone know what it is? I also had a book but it is nowhere to be found. Lovely organized house I have, huh?
Joley slept like crap last night. Like, beyond bad. Last night I was checking out her gums and she had a second tooth on the way. The first one is just barrelling through. Poor baby. Today, I was letting her chew on my finger (you do what you have to do sometimes) and I felt something new. Her second tooth popped through! I guess (hope) that is why she slept so bad last night. I see no more teeth under the gums so hopefully we get a break. I did order her an amber teething necklace though after hearing rave reviews on them. She is a much worse teether than Johnny ever was so if it helps a little, it is worth it! Anyways, she now has two little teeth on her bottom gum line. It is cute!
Let me introduce you to a bad cat…
This is Gabby.
Isn’t she cute? You want her? Just kidding… kinda. This cat is just making my life miserable.
I realized she is allergic to chicken after doing some research on my dogs’ flatulence problem. Yes, that is right. (on a side-note, since getting the dogs off chicken, they are doing MUCH better with not clearing a room) Anyways, I switched Gabby to Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck formula and she has stopped vomiting! whoo hoo, right? Wrong. Apparently, she was still eating a small, very small, amount of the Urinary Health food we were giving her and developed a UTI when she stopped eating it. If you have or know cats, you know that a UTI is bad news… they pee everywhere. She was just going in the sink, and as gross as that was, I could live with it. We started her back on the food and gave her extra water. In the meantime, she decided it would be fun to pee on my recliner… and apparently my sofa too. I washed the sofa cushion covers and they are now a bit lighter than the back cushions. I honestly don’t care though because it is old. I have done everything I can think of to get the odor out of the recliner with no success. I am at a loss now of what to do. If this smell doesn’t get out of the chair, she will continue to use it as her personal litter box. She is well now, by the way. She is only going where she isn’t supposed to where she can smell her odor. Cats are so gross. Oh, Mike has been giving her too much of the urinary health food lately and guess what!?! She is vomiting again too. JOY! I hope this all settles down soon. I may have to get a new recliner though… blah. I hate to spend money on something like that.
Well, off to make dinner. I am making Mike bbq hot dogs and hamburgers and I am making a salad. Easy peasy and the kids will be happy!
