It’s been 2 weeks since I started Jenny Craig. Where I thought it would be difficult, it hasn’t. Where I thought I would fail, I have succeeded. I see my consultant every Wednesday and we talk about my menu for the week, any problems I have had the previous week, and I hop on the scale. I wanted to share a picture of my consultant with you because she is pretty darn awesome.
She shares my excitement each week and makes this whole process so easy for me. I am so lucky that Jenny Craig has consultants and that she is mine! I was worried that visiting a consultant would be a reason I didn’t like Jenny Craig honestly because I am more an introvert when it comes to relating to people face to face, but I am happy to say that it is wonderful.
Each week I walk into the building and see this on the wall…
I love that! It reminds me why I am at the center and what is to gain because of it. I am taking the steps in the right direction every single time I step into the center and it feels good.
One thing I have learned over the past few weeks is how to make the meals look even more appealing. The smells coming out of my microwave are amazing. They really are. But I hated how the food looked sometimes and I figured out why. The dishes! I needed to move my food from the microwavable dish to my own. It makes the meal seem more vibrant and colorful and makes me feel like I am getting more too. The bigger plate makes me feel as though there is more food there than with the small microwavable dish. Take a look at what I mean.
I am still enjoying the food and desserts are still my favorite! I season my breakfast, lunch, and dinner lightly when needed, but eat it as is too. I add parmesan cheese (from my limited add-on’s) to my daily salad. I sometimes have light salad dressing with my raw veggies. These are all things that I can do within the Jenny Craig guidelines. The biggest thing I have found to be good though is that I can drink diet soda. I drink a ton of water, but I like my diet soda a lot!
So, are you ready to hear how I have done on the Jenny Craig diet?
That’s right! I have lost a total of 13.2 pounds** thus far! The first week I lost 7.2 pounds and last week was an additional 6 pounds. I am feeling so good about my progress and so proud of myself too! I am so excited to see what the next 6 weeks holds for me. I have a chance to meet my first goal even!
Thanks so much for the support you have given me. I am so excited to share this with you.
**Results not typical. Members following our program can expect to lose, on average 1-2 lbs per week. I received promotional consideration.
