Baby girl is really amazing. There are days that I wonder whose child she is and then realize that she is so much like me that it is just plain eerie. From the moment she was born, I knew everything was going to be different. I knew she would do things on her own time; just like she waited until the day she was due to make her appearance. She is the most stubborn, hard-headed little girl I have ever met, but also the most loving and sweet. She is my fourth child to raise from infancy and she is by far the most unique little creature I have ever laid my eyes on.
She is in love with animals… all animals. She tells her “fishies” night-night before nap and bedtime. She tells them good morning when she wakes. She walks by and says “hi fishies” multiple times a day. She loves on our dogs like they are pillows meant for her head. She tries to love on the cats who know better and run away. She is even excited about the crabs who are only awake when she is sleeping. She is just like her mommy in all these ways. She has a huge heart and the pet store is like heaven-on-earth for her. I foresee our household being full of (even more) animals as she grows up.
She is obsessed with shoes. Her eyes light up when she gets new shoes. Opening up a box with a new pair of kicks in them is like giving her the equivalent of a million dollars. She will ask to change her shoes multiple times a day and gets very upset when not allowed. She has learned to take them on and off by herself simply to fulfill the need to change them. Again, she is just like her mommy. I love shoes… all shoes. She loves me so much that she even gets excited for me when I get new shoes.
She is so special. I am so blessed to have her in my life. I can’t imagine a day without seeing her smile or even her little pouty face. She makes me laugh with her kissy (fishy) face and her big “cheese” for the camera (which when she sees the picture, she promptly says “oh no” because she looks “silly”). She also makes me have to turn my head to snicker with her “mean” looks. The looks from her big blue eyes melt my heart. She is curious and smart. Oh, she is so smart. Way too smart for her own good. But, she is the blessing I wanted so much. I wouldn’t trade a bad day for any other if it were the only I could have. It has been the best time watching her personality come alive and see her grow into a little person. I am so excited to watch her grow… undoubtedly more like me, her mommy that loves her so much.
She is my life. I love her more than words can say.

I have a little girl (not so little any more – she’s 5) who LOVES shoes too. She wore her sparkly pink shoes everywhere, doing anything, until her toes wore right through the ends. And I let her — she grows out of them so fast anyway, I wanted her to enjoy them. 🙂

Baby girls are the best! My little girl has the same shoes, and she too likes to “play” with them rather than wear them all the time. 🙂
You have a beautiful little girl!
