I am a child of the 80s. I loved all things 80s and still do. I love that you see the return of the oldies (but goodies) on clothing racks and toy shelves. So, when I heard that Rainbow Brite was coming back, I was thrilled. I tell my kids about all the cool toys I had when I was a child but they just think I am old (I am not old, by the way). It was fantastic to be able to share with young kids today one of the coolest chicks from my childhood, Rainbow Brite.
I was sent some CDs for the new Rainbow Brite web site recently. I immediately began handing them out to some friends that had young girls, all who loved it. Rainbow Brite, like all smart girls, has had a makeover but the fun and excitement are still there. You can check out the web site yourself and enjoy some fun games, coloring pages, and other good stuff. If you have young girls, they will love the vibrant colors and cute animations.
The other thing to be on the lookout for is the new line of Rainbow Brite dolls. You can find them at Toys ‘R Us and Target. Be sure to check availability at Rainbow Brite’s site. If you are a mom of the 80s, or just remember the cool Rainbow Brite, her friends Moonglow and Tickled Pink, and their loyal horse friends Shimmer, Starlight, and Sunriser, you won’t want to miss this fun way to share your childhood with your kids. I know I will be looking for the dolls soon!
disclosure: We were given the CDs to review and share by Mom Select and Hallmark. I did not receive monetary compensation and all thoughts and opinions are mine. If applicable, images other than my own and quotes were taken directly from the sponsor.

I’m not sure about their make-over. For some reason my daughter wasn’t into Rainbow Brite so I really don’t know much about them.

I love the new design of the rainbow brite characters. I didn’t really watch this show as a kid, but I love the new look!
